An aircraft ride quality analysis is becoming an integral component for many
airports around the globe that have active pavement management programs.
Establishing a profile baseline and re-evaluating that profile on
a periodic basis has proven to be a cost-effective method to assess the overall health of pavement over
time.
It’s been APR’s
experience that most pavements settle over time. This settlement can create situations where the aircraft
begins to respond poorly to the changed profile. Poor aircraft response leads to excessive dynamic loading which
can shorten a pavement’s useful life. Implementing an AIP fundable ride quality analysis in your pavement
management plan can help you track the health of your pavements and prioritize rehabilitation on your
schedule.

APR’s contribution to pavement management, please contact us, we’d love to talk to
you about it.
