Roughness Investigation

APR is often contacted by an airport indicating that they have pilot reported roughness. To solve their problem, APR uses the ride quality analysis to help identify where the roughness is located and to quantify how rough it is.

APR uses the AR&L to measure the runway’s profile.  Once the profile has been measured, a thorough analysis consisting of aircraft simulation and straightedge analysis is used to identify the area of roughness.  Upon identification, APR can use its software and years of experience in optimizing an effective repair. Repair solutions can then be handed off to a contractor for implementation.
